a campaign to save that little hut on the west pier?

given the probable demise of the old lady, wouldn't it make an aweful lot of sense to remove that little hut that's still standing and move it into the museum before some idiot decides to torch it?

People tried while others blocked every attempt to restore it-dating back to the 70s.

The last legit plans were scupperd by NIMBYs...

I guess the other problem is/was that although everybody wanted the thing saved-no bugger wanted to contribute to the fund. That goes back before the 70s-the pier was in need of help but the council didn't want to invest in the thing-now we're all paying the price for their lack of wisdom and foresight.
