So I heard some news that put things in perspective for me.Ok we lost today again but I thought in the second half that we played well.I've got to say Creole is a class act at this level and I thought that Lynch worked well with him.Robinson and Cox are flair players but their finishing has got to get better and they have to minimalise all the 25 yard shots that they make when they could take the ball into the box more. Also nice to see a bit of experience on the pitch.Elder also looks very useful....But I digress. The reality is that the board have no expectations for the team or Withdean. It has always been said that it was a stop gap but I didn't take it that seriously. When the ground gets given we will see investment from rich people who are 'waiting in the wings'.In theory this should coincide with next season and ofcourse a new manager as Dean is only on a short term deal and will step aside to become maybe assistant for a more experienced man.Maybe Megson,Adams or Dowie.Que an influx of quality playing staff, higher gates and at the end of season 2010 hopefully promotion to the championship if we are lucky and also the most important thing which is Falmer.

That is all well and good mate but time ticks on and Falmer is nowhere near as an outsider looking in, LDC are playing Russian Roulette with your club and must be stopped somehow.

There seems to more amd more people now thinking /admitting that we will not get Falmer now or maybe the blind optimism is now starting to fade

But the fact that there are investors waiting in the wings is positive right???

Is it a fact though or is it just hearsay? Brighton need some positive action concerning Falmer end of, they just cannot go on treading water at Withdean or they will just die

Why would you invest in something that isn't already concrete. All the investors need is a Yes for falmer and then they will invest.Be realistic.

Only if they are not prepared to invest now, and are not being kept out by Tight and any other Directors who want to maximise the return on their shares. ???

But Falmer has never been near concrete to be fair has it? Yes Prescott gave it a yes but there were still many hurdles to negotiate as has been proved with this LDC fiasco. The problem is Falmer might not ever happen and if it does could still be many months away and by that time Brighton could well be on borrowed time.

If we got the yes tomorrow it is still years away

From what I've heard it sounded pretty concrete but as I say they (the investors) are waiting for the Green light.Although money can't buy you promotion it doesn't half help. The main aim is so that the club kick off at falmer in a high divsion.

Exactly my point Ernest, but at least you would know there was light at the end of the tunnel instead of what you are going through at the minute (and have ben going through for 10 bloody years!)

If that is true then that is great for Brighton, but they won't hold on forever will they? Businessmen never do!

SJ is right, we are treading water at the moment, but we have known that for several seasons...granted that LDC have proven to be a fly in the ointment, however on the positive side, the longer it drags on the more chance they have of being voted out for squandering council money on a futile attempt to stop us getting our stadium.

I think we all know that there are, allegedly, investors waiting in the wings...it should only be a couple more months before the green light is given...I hope we can survive until then!

Prescott's department gave it the go ahead, but sadly the lawyers and civil serants involved turned out to be conference south standard, not up to their jobs, and LDC have driven coach and horses through that decision.

A watertight one please,Whitehall, not another farce, and I'm willing to invest my thirtyeight and elevenpence.
