You've gotta respect what Mark Hughes has done for Welsh footy. As far as Welsh sport goes, rugby is the only sport that normally guarantees a sell out at the Millenium.
Arsenal did the same thing when they played Champions' League games at Wembley. My Gooner-supporting mate crowed that he was paying less than me to watch European football. I pointed out in return that at least my team usually won!The Laughing Bluebird said:The 70,000 crowds are certainly impressive, but are you aware of the ticket prices for Welsh internationals at the Millennium Stadium?
As soon as the stadium was completed and agreement was reached that the Welsh soccer team would play there, the Welsh FA decided to greatly reduce their ticket prices, working on the principle that capacity crowds in the new stadium would benefit the side.
Therefore, ticket prices for Wales matches are now just £10 & £15 for adults, or £5 and £10 for kids and OAP's.
We pay less to watch the likes of Ryan Giggs and Craig Bellamy playing against teams like Italy and Germany than you lot pay to watch the likes of Charlie Oatway and Kerry Mayo playing against teams like Colchester and Chesterfield!
