What I really like about this thread is the richly deserved credit John Templeman is getting. He was a real crowd pleaser, and what he did to set up that goal was typical of the way he played. We loved him because he always gave everything every single game. He's also a Sussex lad and still around. Wonder if he reads NSC.

I always get this game mixed up with the season before,when we beat Villa 1-0, in front of 22k,not bad for a team languishing near the bottom.
