Can't be arsed to read all that but surely 'Phone a Friend' on Who Wants to Be A Millionaire has been severely compromised by the existence of Google - any answer in two seconds at the end of a phone line and bob's your uncle, Chris Tarrant's your wife.

:falmer:

I've thought before but it would take an unlikely set of coincidences to do this. You'd have to catch the question first time. You'd have to be sitting in front of a computer to start with, one with fast broadband access. You'd have to be able to type a question accurately in just a few seconds and be guaranteed the right answer from Google almost immediately...and all that has to happen within about 25 seconds (allowing for the reading out of the question).

If you're told that Tarrant will phone up between 7.15 and 8.15 on a certain day and you're sitting there with Google fired up - then it could be possible - but my understanding is that there's no warning.
