5 quid a ticket for Huddersfield

No wonder we are losing money hand over fist if we are only charging 5 quid a ticket.

Surely a better business model is to invest in the team so people want to come and watch the Albion, and then charge a decent price for tickets?

I wonder how season ticket holders feel having stumped up over 20 quid for the same match?

I'm a season ticket holder, and assuming it's a kind of loss leader to try and generate interest in the long term, then I can live with it.

It's no different to buying shoes in a shop, and then a couple of months later going back to find they're reduced in a sale. Annoying, but you pays yer money...

We need to generate more support, that's all there is to it. Spending stacks of cash on players is no guarantee of success, and in any case, the players we could realistically get wouldn't get the crowds flocking back, so we'd lose even more.

I was under the impression that people could only get tickets for a fiver if there STH mate got it for them, as a bring a mate deal.

Rather have people paying a fiver to get in than have empty seats

Chops, you never fail to surprise me. Never a nice thing to say about the way the club is run and intent on stirring things.

It is a good idea to attract people to the football. Goodness knows we have lost an entire generation due to losing the Goldstone. The only way to enlarge our fanbase is by making it difficult, not to turn up.

Keep on stirring though, if it makes you happier.

I,m a STH, and if letting people in for a fiver means that they may just " get the bug" and become a full-time supporter, I,m all for it. Remember that the more supporters there are, the less the club will need to increase ticket prices next year to break-even.

A) Judging by your post your not a sth, so what are you complaining about?

B) I have a season ticket & am quite happy that these offers are designed to put bums on seats, which will hopefully create a better atmosphere, which will hopefully inspire the platers , which will increase my enjoyment of the game therefore giving me better value for money.

C) Where did you get this info from, theres nothing on the official site?

Of course it wont be on the official site, it's current news. Give it a day or two then it will appear.

Letters were sent to Season ticket holders that took advantage of the offer last time. Why is it news?

Somebody can have my two-for-a-tenner East Stand allocation if they give me the tenner in advance (tried all me mates - no takers). PM me, bring me a tenner tomorrow and I'll go get the tickets on Saturday. Can't say fairer.

f***'s sake, didn't we have all this when they did exactly the same for the Forest game?

We did Steve but some people like to make out that season ticket holders are moaning about it.
I'm going to the club shop tomorrow during my lunch break to get two tickets for a mate and his youngster.

As a season ticket holder I don't give a flying f*ck and encourage the club to do whatever they need to, to get bumbs on seats.

In fact I'm VERY HAPPY they are doing so.
