Remember it well. Went up to Northampton the night before, almost got arrested at Northampton station coming back, only way i got out of being arrested was to show my Germany England match ticket to the Copper who just shoved me on the train
Slept in Gatwick till about 4.30am boarding of the plane. Got off airport near Munich, desperate to use the loo. Qued 20 mins, missed my Coach into Munich had to hitch a lift. Straight into the bars at 10am, Southampton supporter one side, Portsmouth the other. Didnt feel that comfortable

Match was fantastic after (Gerrard) we scored just before half time to make it 1-1. Can remember the Germans leaving the Olympistadium like loads ants end of the game
Celebrated with a few drinks, got lost aftre the game and tried to board the England coach with Geoff Hurst telling me "you cant get on here son"
