Hows good does it feel to break the 40 point barrier. 50 points and the first objective for the season doesn't seem that far away now. Am I being pessimistic?

I'd be more comfortable with 52/53 points but the next target has to be 50 to start with.

Pessimistic no. I think it's realistic to aim to stay up first when you're a newly promoted side, anything on top of that is a bonus

great points made by all in this thread. I totally agree i will be delighted when we get to 50 points- the sooner the better. You never know in this league what could happen- it is so tight. Remember we went on that bad run earlier in the season. If we get a couple more quality players in with physical presence then I reckon the play offs will not be far away.

Get Noone and Lua Lua back,Get Vicente playing ;-) and a couple more decent signings and we could have some fun in the play offs.

The sensible side of me thinks that as long as we stay up, time is on our side, get those corners in the Amex and move onwards and upwards

The more optimistic side can't help but imagine what a premier league play-off game would be like.

Three more wins, and a few draws to make doubly sure, and we'll be OK. How many games to get those in - eighteen, nineteen? Should be OK!

I'd written off all hope of teh paly off's in December and booked to go away in May (it's my 40th). Now we're unbeaten this year. This change of form is alarming me!

All things considered I'd be a bit disappointed if we didn't make the play offs. We have found our feet & I expect us to get better too. We had a flying start to the season which put us in a false position but I do now feel that we are manifesting into the team that we truly are. There are some tough games ahead of us but I am sure that we are more than capable of meeting the challenge.

We had 53 points at this stage of the campaign last season.

41 is exceptional. I definitely would have taken breaching the 40 point barrier with just less than three fifths of the campaign done and dusted. That is with much of the season spent putting square pegs in round holes with so many bans and injuries.

Unreal.

Absolutely this. And we've been riddled with injuries all season too. I know most teams can say that but the amount we've had and the job the kids have done shows how far we've come under Gus. What a time to be a BHA fan! Be gutted if we finish 7th on goal difference!!!
