Also the single most scathing reaction from dear old Richie, you can feel the fury within him which a lesser professional might have let spill out

Really unforgivable, to win at any cost , including your reputation and total disrespect to the spirit of the game.
It will never be forgotten here and whenever mentioned the Aussies are so apologetic and filled with embarrassment.
Yet with the sandpaper incident, they say that everyone does it and it is just that unlucky that they got caught.

Aussies play to win, especially at cricket, and even more so against England.

Just not clever enough to avoid getting caught sometimes.

I managed to hit a six off the last ball of a 50 overs Shropshire League match Vs Ludlow about 10 years ago to win the game.

I said to the bowler in the bar afterwards; "Glad you weren't an Aussie!"

What was the reaction over there (and especially in Perth?) to Andrew Tye's pathetic show of childish spite, in the BBL the other day?

I saw that too. I was wondering whether anyone would be low enough to do this - and then he did. James Vince looked singularly unimpressed and who can blame him?

That's Tye dropped from any of my future fantasy teams. There have to be consequences!

That was a little joke between him and a NZ batsman at the end of a match on which the result was decided already. The umpire (Bowden ?) responded by showing him a pretend red card. All good humoured. (He didn't actually bowl it underarm in the end).

Everyone just shrugged their shoulders.
The BBL not really taken that seriously by proper cricket fans here, it known as hit and giggle.

Probably the most scathing attack on the Chappells was from their own brother - that must have stung
