Albion Reserves beat Aldershot Town 12-2 at Worthing this evening. Scorers were Jake Robinson (4), Mark Windsor (2), John Piercy (penalty), Chris McPhee, Dan Beck, either David Lee or Gary Elphick, Dean Hammond and Paul Reid. We were 6-2 up at half-time.

Boring boring reserves.....

From Woodside Road.....

Final score...Albion 12 (twelve!) Aldershot 2 ( H.T. 6-2 )

The start was delayed 15 minutes as Aldershot were held up in traffic en route to Worthing. They probably wished they'd never made it at all! John Piercy opened the scoring after 5 minutes with a penalty after Jake had been chopped down with only the keeper to beat. Strangely, the referee never even spoke to the Aldershot defender. From then on as the score suggests it was all rather one sided. Paul Reid looked impresive at right back and Jake Robinson never stopped running, scoring 4 goals in the process. The other scorers were McPhee, Beck, Elphic, Hammond, Reid, and Windsor (two).

it was very strange after he was one on one with the keeper, that should have been a straight red! i dont think the ref gave out a card in the whole game!

great match though and some good goals.

Yeah, there's no way Chris McPhee got on the score sheet!

When was the last time an Albion team - reserves or youth (never the first team) - scored 12 or more times in a match? I certainly can't remember it.

Why don't you ask Falmer Dream?:jester:
