I think it did.
We kept the ball a lot better and the fears of Rooney being alone up from looked to be quashed, after he got used to holding the ball up a bit more than he is used to.
Carrick was very good, as was Hargreaves.
Lampard HAS to be dropped - very much the Chippy of England at the moment.
The main worry for me is the defence.
Terry was shocking again, and Cole during the second half was cught out of postion a few times towards the end(saying that his tackle saved England early on)
Robinson, well i dunno what to say - worst I have ever seen him play early on but did improve towards the end.
I would keep this formation for the next game.
