3rd Public Enquiry ?

It has long been my concern that once this second public enquiry is completed there would be a third, and God forbid a fourth. After today's developments could we find ourselves in a position whereby ...

1st PE - ascertains the need for a stadium, and the suitability of Falmer.

2nd PE - proves beyond doubt that there is no viable alternative to Falmer,

only for the ODPM to call a 3rd PE whereby we have to prove that we have adequate funding to complete the project.


Am I just getting paranoid?

There is no need for a third Public Inquiry.

Planning permission for Falmer will come with a condition that will require confirmation to be submitted to the local planning authority, before construction starts, that the finance is in place to complete the project.

This is a condition that applies to all major developments. It will already have been built into the Project Plan.
