Never had any problems with them. Fairly cheap tariffs, get better reception with them than any other network I have used (and I have been with them all at some point).

Somewhere over there...
I've had no problems with them so far. I've had to send my phone back once but got a replacement for the couple of days it was away.

I'm not looking forward to cancelling my contract early next month though.

I have my internet "Dongle" with Three and it is very good, vodaphone was poor but it depends on your reception area!

Good value and no issue with reception however had a nightmare with their customer serivices. All based either overseas or in deepest Glasgow and eitherway impossible to understand.

i'm on contract with 3. good service generally except my mobile takes between 1 and 6 attempts to connect to whoever i'm dialling... rarely in fact does it connect 1st time :glare: . but i got a 'free' laptop when i took out the contract so cant complain

Awful, awful awful! Ok to start with then terrible. Answer phone messages taking over a week to come through. You'd phone it and it would say the phone was turned off even though it clearly had a signal.

Worst of all cancelled my contract and they carried on taking my money for nearly nine months after I cancelled. Every month i'd argue that I'd cancelled and every month they would say I hadn't and because I did not paid for what I felt I did not owe I was told that my contract would have to be extended for another month. It was a nightmare.

Stay clear is my advice.

Difficult to understand most of them though [reply to post 7]
Cheap 3g coverage patchy even in the city
which can cause calls to drop as it switches between 2and 3g but no worse than the others overall
Dont bother if using for computer dongle

I think 3 are generally good value for smaller phones. but to my mind they are a bit restricted on larger ones, like with screens I can use for the internet (> 3 inch required at my age!) - they do one or two, like the HTC Hero, but price plans are quite expensive for these compared to the bigger players.

Steer clear of these fuckers at all costs! Had a protracted nightmare after provisionally showing an interest in their service but changing my mind before committing to 'em based on some good advice....won't bore you all with the whole sorry story but to say I lost it with them (very rare for me, knowing customer services all too well from my past vocation) and "Sheila" or whatever her pathetically-transparent pseudonym was (the call centre is in India and populated by THE most incomprehensible people you could ever wish not to have a complaint call with!

They basically opened my account without my validating it as they themselves informed me I had to do to activate the account and it was a nightmare from then on.

Avoid like the plague....worst co. I have EVER had the misfortune to deal with!

Edit: also they stuck to a script like glue regardless of anything I said....got my way in the end though but ONLY after hurling a reluctant but unavoidable torrent of abuse at them.

I've had them for 18 months and am just about to renew - they seem fine to me (certainly better than Vodafone who seemed little more than a bunch of sharks).

The only issue I have with them is that they do ring up every couple of months and try to sell me something else - usually a dongle that I have told them several times doesn't work with my laptop - but apart from that, they're pretty good.

2 hour wait? I've never had to wait at all in the last 2 years I have been with 3.

I've just upgraded to a Nokia E71 with 3, I think the tariff's are good value and despite some of the post on here, I think there pretty good actually.

I looked at their deal for the E71 as it seemed good, but when I spoke to their sales team they were so rude and condescending that I thought " f*** this, i'm not boosting their sales figues, even by one" and went back to O2 who i've been with for a while and have been excellent, and matched the 3 deal, but with a Blackberry 8900

spot on. I've got a 3 dongle and that's ok. I cancelled my phone contract early due to the shit connections, calls cutting out half way through a call and constant crashing of phone internet. Otherwise fine :glare:
