Apparently ‘£16m‘ is not enough coming from Brighton but would be if Liverpool or Chelsea come knocking according to the Czech Club’s Chairman.

Club‘s Chairman suggested that price should be €20m+, before again making it clear he’d be more understanding if what he deems to be a huge club arrived for the defender:

“If Liverpool and Chelsea, who were also interested in him, had come with an offer of around €17-18m, I would have hesitated to approach it differently from the perspective of promoting the club or the player’s interest.’

If true, perhaps we should tell Slavia to piss off?

Sounds like the typical kind of last minute maneuvering we get when we buy a player from SA or a European teams not from the big 5 leagues.

Hopefully he’ll fall into line soon.
yes, sounds like he's blinked.

It all feels a bit messy to me, we could only have 16 games left this season (hope not but could be) then we have a situation in the summer where all these players plus Osman and Sarmiento come back. Unless we are planning major sales it hard to see how the situation improves for any of them by then. Milner may retire but beyond that I don’t see much natural turnover in the positions they play.

Poster on a Derby forum earlier this afternoon suggested confidently Cashin was a done deal for around £9m.

100% unverified source, of course.

Seems so - article I posted this afternoon were saying after playing at the weekend, fans noted Cashin had stayed behind a lot longer waving ‘goodbye’ and he also wasn’t wearing the captain’s armband. That has fuelled speculation amongst fans that the Rams have accepted a bid from us.

Gross was the lynchpin for a lot of players, needed a like for like replacement.
That wasn't going to happen, so have to change system.
There seems to be a bit of unrest in the camp as well.

Possibly to be replaced at Derby by Matt Clarke, who was our player for several seasons, but never kicked a ball in anger for us.

Does there? That’s quite a statement to make. Where’s your proof of that?

Certainly nothing evident last week when we were winning three in a row - amazing what one defeat does to some fans.

Yes, also mentioned in the article above but perhaps not a long term solution as Nelson also out on long term injury:

“As Football League World exclusively revealed on Friday, former Rams loanee Matt Clarke could be returning to Pride Park some three-and-a-half years after last playing for the club, and they are in pole position to land the 28-year-old's services.

Being a left-footer just like Cashin, Clarke would go some way to temporarily replacing his services, but Paul Warne would need more, given Curtis Nelson has been ruled out for the remainder of the season.”

Based on what? Some unconfirmed bratty comments from Enciso and a bunch of unfounded nonsense on here from people who don't rate the manager?
