Really looking forward to the League Cup 2nd Round game at the end of August.

Hoping for York City away.

Isn't it regionalised in round 2?
You might have to wait for the third round.

On a serious note, I wonder if this will change the minds of some of our players at the end of the season if they want European football, like JPVH, Belaba,Mitoma, Bart……

Thanks to Sky, fixtures are hardly worth the paper they're not printed on nowadays tho eh? Hence Liverpool tomorrow night. Can't even plan a lap of appreciation let alone a home or away day
Thanks I made a note in my diary them read your post and remembered exactly what you said. I suppose Im looking to see 1st game of season as may be away regardless if its shuffled a few days one way or other and thelast game of the season I always like that to be at home to whoever.

Well, this season is over now isn't it.
no - much as we might hate the order of things, the PL season isn’t over. We still have 2 more matches and

  • still need to finish above ‘them’
  • Still could get our second highest finish in top flight ever
  • very very outside albeit unlikely chance of still getting Conference if we finish 8th but we certainly won’t by throwing in the towel with 2 games to play
  • we have a Manager that plays every match to win regardless what has been before or comes next

I‘m still going to enjoy the football and make the most of the next few weeks - I don’t enjoy the long summer breaks and certainly don’t enjoy the anxieties and intensity of the transfer windows worried our best players may be enticed by European football and/or mega riches elsewhere.

Makes the Cashin signing even more bizarre buying a CB that’s competent at this level might of helped.
We still should have had at least enough to put Leicester away and get something against 9 man Palace.
You know Palace didn’t play the whole match with 9 don’t you?

True - but we are TEN points behind 7th place....even if a number of things had gone our way, we may have fallen short of 7th.

We had a two man advantage for about 6 mins of that game. Stop making it sound like Burnley at the Amex where they got 78 mins against 9 men.
