I don't understand why on earth the club would pick yellow.

Give or take an exceptional few, who would genuinely buy a yellow shirt? Much more likely from a marketing perspective to be red or black in my personal opinion, especially with Barber, he'll want to maximise sales. (not a dig, just fact).
Always thought this about wearing football kits
Who actually owns or would wear a yellow jumper ,tshirt or shirt no me neither so why would you wear a yellow football shirt out in public

One could say the same about the Lime and Black kit currently - if anything its more eye-catching than yellow !! Thats a popular kit so yellow would be nowhere near as bad !!

The reason why we are holding back on the away shirts is because if we go up then we will need Two change shirts.Nothing else.

This, though I have heard that we have got a "third" kit "designed" (probably just another colour change) just in case.

I want the away kit to be Yellow and Red, not a bright yellow, a darker one - much like the Spanish flag !!

Traditionally teams chose yellow for away kits because it emulated the kits worn by the fabulous Brazil teams of the past.

Not at all, there is no requirement from the premier league, or the football league to have a third kit. It is totally down to the clubs.
