Average, at best. Still, it's ended with good things appearing on the horizon, so here's to a much better 2005 :drink:

A really good year for me too.
Finally returning to Sussex after 34 years, getting another grandchild and of course the Millenium stadium & promotion.

more downs than ups.. too many people in my life were in hospital, including me, my grandad died on jan 2nd so it was an auspicious start... but... my son is healthy and i'm still here too, my dad survived a major op, my girlfriend loves me... so it wasn't all bad... plus I was at the MilStad too.

Looking forward to 2005 with optimism and hope for a better year overall though...

Happy New Year all...

I voted average. The firm I work for nearly went under but luckily I wasn't one of those who was made redundent, though the same problems will still be around next year. I had to take a wage cut though, that hurt. Still no stadium and I couldn't afford to pay for a whole season ticket, so had to share with someone, not good.
On the other hand we did win at Cardiff....which was of course, brilliant.

"poor / very poor / awful / crap / hell / worst year EVER" for me.

Got divorced, had to sell my house, then had to move again. Got left with loads of debt from the marriage, got made redundant and now in a job that is making me depressed.

Still, 2005 can't be any worse, can it?

I have started looking for a new job, and have an interview for one that would be cool in a couple of weeks. If get that I may start to believe things are looking up.

Until then :(

We were over the moon when the kids moved out and got their own flats. But within a year they had both run up huge credit card bills which we had to pay. Oh well, skint again.

There were a few good moments, but overall 2004 was mediocre and uneventful, and not a year that I'll remember anything for (apart from football) in years to come.

I was going to say average... but then I thought about it for a bit!

Compared to at least 90% of the worlds population, I had a great year. No imminent danger from war, no major disease epidemics, decent and safe housing, plenty of food, clean water, a well paid job, access to education and leisure facilities.

And a happy family home, with my fantastic wife and three lovely kids (er... perhaps that is going too far!!)

started off weakly....still mourning the death of my grandad. started to pick up by march, before hitting the heights of summer!

memories include: cardiff...of course.going to sussex uni bar on graduation night and almost pulling(i think it was nervousness that i didnt...seeing as I was 16 at the time and them at least 21) my summer job at the library...amazing stuff...£5.70 an hour...my loud shirt collection..summer pints at the trevor arms in glynde...pub quizzes at the crescent, a whirlwind romance with some very good times...especially a trip to hyde park;)

however as the clocks went back it all went a bit murky.the whirlwind romance f***ed off, i ran out of money and didnt have a job, my regular drinking friend turned into a complete twat, then I got pretty ill at the start of december.

there were some end of year highlights...the big adventure in october to havant then returning via scenic pullborough, and gatwick airport, before a brief trip to the burgess hill uncle sams! i also attended a small q+a session with tony blair, which was interesting, and my last big adventure of the year, 4 pints at shoreham airport(i didnt see perseus in a rockpoll tho:( ), bunk on the london train instead of the brighton one, get off for another pint at gatwick, then have 2 more at the polar bear in london by china town, while watching fulham v charlton.

also the trip to Millwall was good, just to make the fairweather armchair fans go...woah, you went to millwall? and i just go..hey, its not as bad as you think..for me,anyway;)

heres to 2005 NSC, plenty more :drink: , footie, girls, music, hot days with hot girls, more crazy adventures hopefully
