RIP

I read that the flags over Wembley today are at half-mast as a tribute to him.

Bobby was innocent .? West Ham did not treat him very well I understand. I think he should be knighted posthumously. He was brilliant.:salute:

Bobby was a god.

Not many footballers and men will ever be in the same league as he was.

Remember him most against Pele, Mexico 1970. What a game; we should have got something from it as well, Jeff Astle missed a sitter. Bobby Moore was just world class, which Pele recognised & led to the iconic pics of them at the end of the game.

One of my boyhood heroes and I tried to play like him tackling sideways on - sadly I was still totally useless. Like Martin Peters he was way ahead of his time. I watch Fat Sam's Iron Hoofs on the telly and think what a disgrace they are to the mid 60s traditions of the club.
