McGhee keeps saying 2 wins etc but I really don't think it will be enough . Gills in last relagation spot would only require 3 wins from 8 to finish above us. I think we are going to need 54 points to avoid relagation.

Lets hope results go our way Saturday or we could be in the bottom 3 which really would put massive pressure on the Reading game which is already huge

Today's games are important too.

I'd been confident for weeks that we wouldn't need anything like 50 points to stay up.

In the last week, things have turned about completely.

My current end of season predictions look like this:-

16 Watford 54
17 Plymouth 53
18 Crewe 53
19 Albion 53
20 Cardiff 50
21 Coventry 50
22 Gillingham 50
23 Nottm Forest 49
24 Rotherham 30

With our goal difference (now worse than Gillingham's), 50 points won't save us.

2 wins will be enough, as long as we don't turn ALL the other games into defeats. A couple of wins and a draw here and there should see us safe.

I think its DISGUSTING how the teams below us have suddenly hit form. There was always a possibility of Forest OR Gillingham picking up a few results, but not BOTH of them.

Bastards.

Crewe, Cardiff, and Coventry are still not in any sort of form. Granted, they haven't loss 3 on the trot but they're not cantering away from danger.

And Forest have a nightmare run in - games in hand count for jack shit until the points are on the board. They'll beat Leeds but I still think they'll need to win on the last day of the season to stay up at best.

Forest have Gillingham on last day of the season so could be interesting

Disagree with you about Coventry though , they are unbeaten in 4 and appear to be heading in the right direction

Or 1 win in 4, depending on how you view it. And we've won 2 of our last 5 which doesn't seem too bad.

Over the last 4 seasons, only Walsall last year with 51 points has any team dropped with more than 50 points.
Won't be the case this year though!

Millwall went down with 52 points in 95/96. Got relegated on goal difference with Portsmouth staying up. Millwall drew 0-0 with Ipswich on the last day of the season, meaning Millwall went down and Ipswich failed to make the play-offs.

Ithink we need at least a point Coventry and 7 other points to be safe. Lose at Coventry and we could be well in the do do. If it comes down to the final day, I am hoping that Ipswich will be in third spot with no chance of promotion but more than three points clear of fourth place. That way, seeing as they will already have home field advantage they will rest a few players and not risk injuries to key personnel.

Still think we will be fine, 3 points against Reading will help, and with Forest v Gills and Coventry v Crewe on the last day they can't all win.

WE WILL BE OKAY COME ON LETS BELIVE

I thinkw eneed 3 against reading. It's possibly our easiest game at the mo and the psychological boost will be massive. Lose at Reading and I think we'll struggle to make 48, let alone 50, simply because the confidence will be at rock bottom.

I think the gap for the England game could be a blessing in disguise. Those teams who are on the up will not want a week off to break it up.

The Coventry game is a big day for all. Cardiff play Plymouth Crewe play Forest and the pikies are away to Preston. Even losing that day may not be the end of the world. Also one of the Forest games in hand is against Coventry.

agree

reading game is very winnable- if we lose that by 3 or 4 it will be a real indication of the lack of form/ability this team really has.

I agree 50 points may not be enough (especially with the poor goal difference). 53 Points required in my opinion.

The Reading game is absolutely vital, as after this 3 of the next 4 are away, and with our current form away I'm not hopefull of much from these games.

Wins against Reading, Leicester, and Rotherham on the last day are our best bet for points in my opinion.
