Probably because they're the only ones willing to work hard for a minimum wage. Most Brits would rather claim benefits than work for minimum wage.

They don't even get a minimum wage , they get topped up by tax credits and benefits whilst Sports Direct make a profit

Yeah what a wonderful company, considering 9 out of 10 staff are on zero-hour contracts, thats 90% of Sports Directs workforce, must be a joy being exploited by this mob.

Yeah I assume this is just a 'good news' story following the report from the Guardian.

The last time I went to Sports Direct I left half way through because I got caught between an aisle. Trying to get to the checkout is like a game of pacman, if you see someone coming towards you, may as well turn around and hope nobodys coing the same way or you aint getting out. The entire store is clogged up with special discount boxes and discount items and 10 metre tall racks. Horrendous shopping experience.

The sting in the tail is that the staff have got to try and find the £20k bonus under a random pile of stuff in one of their stores.

Sports direct is my go-to store for all my sons football boots and football trainers (and shin pads, footballs, etc, etc). And as a bonus, some of the señoritas serving are scorchio!
