England were on a hiding to nothing after losing the toss on day 1, but the second innings effort was really poor. Really must be said though, that South Africa bowled fantastically well, both innings.

It's such an almighty cock-up . As Martin Bicknell tweeted. "Surely this can’t be doing Crawley any good? Best if he goes back and plays some 4 day cricket for Kent to find his form, oh wait…"
