If I ever have children (not a definite) and my husband decided to go to the game instead I would honestly kill him!

Isn't it a no brainer?

Anyone that says football shouldn't have children.

Let's be serious for a moment...with Falmer so close and with an almost set in stone date for the first game-why on earth wouldn't you be more careful?

Yes. And living abroad makes it all the more important to be there.

Having been on the pitch at the last game at the Goldstone, having driven down from Suffolk to be there and having climbed over the club shop to get in as I didn't have a ticket, it's THAT important.

I'll concede that to most it may seem highly irrational, but since when has a lifelong passion for any lower-league football team ever been a rational decision?

To paraphrase Nick Hornby in Fever Pitch, "you don't choose a football team - your team chooses you."

Cradle to grave.

Let's get the prospective right, you can always have another kid!
Just joking, birth of baby anytime I was at all three wouldn't have missed them for anything.

Well, if the birth of your first child were to clash with the first league game at Falmer, which monumental event would you attend (and no cop outs like inducing an early birth etc etc)? Purely hypothetically like.

Fortunately I will be avoiding this scenario having worked out that end of October / early November this year is a bad time to sow the seed.....

You obviously haven't had a child or you would know!
