If as Southern League Winners we can beat the champions of all England then surely now we should piss all over them!!!

We need mass banners with '100 YEARS OF HURT EH VILLA?' loads of home made Charity Shields using tin foil (or you can just blow up a photocopy of a 50p piece and write BHA 1 Villa 0 on it). Other banners can allude to the turncoat Brighton violin virtuoso/Gary Rhodes look-alike Nigel Kennedy 'You can stuff Nigel Kennedy Up your Villa' and 'What's it like to have your Gareth Barry pinched?' the fun is endless NSCers and I encourage all to get out the glue and cardboard this instant.

Agree and also can we play in a BHA 1910 retro kit as well

I'm not sure that the 1910 victory was "against all the odds". In those days, the Southern League was of about equal standing with the (mainly north and midlands) Football League.

It was only when the two leagues were merged in 1920 that the rump of the Southern League became the poor cousin of its new national rival.

Incidentally ... who were the first Southern League champions after the 1920 reorganisation of football in England and Wales?

There were a few who mooted about a Centenary match.

Maybe we can dig up some of the old team to parade on the pitch before KO!!!!

The game before us Villa play Blackburn in league cup semi on the wednesday.
The Wednesday after they play Arsenal at home.
So there's a good chance of two things I reckon:
a) they field a weakened team against us.
b) a poor turnout from the home fans with 3 home games in 8 days.

Yes and all BHA fans must dress like 1910 street urchins - anyone in any doubt as to suitable attire should just copy Leonardo Di Caprio's look in the multi award winning James Cameron epic Titanic.

How we could do with Bullet Jones and Charlie Webb now.

We've not scored against Aston Villa in 435 minutes of football against them. I think we also have a score to settle with them. The Forster-Murray partnership is the one to do it!

Without looking it up, I fear it may have been Crippled Alice.

EDIT: Just looked it up, and I'm sticking with that answer...

... even, though it's wrong?

The Southern League champions of 1920/21 were ... wait for it ...

... Brighton and Hove Albion Reserves

... after beating Barry 2-1 in the play-off final between the winners of the Southern League (English Section) and the Southern League (Welsh Section).

And we beat them in the season they won the league.

Yes, indeed. Our most recent goal against Villa... classic '80s hoofball.
