We need mass banners with '100 YEARS OF HURT EH VILLA?' loads of home made Charity Shields using tin foil (or you can just blow up a photocopy of a 50p piece and write BHA 1 Villa 0 on it). Other banners can allude to the turncoat Brighton violin virtuoso/Gary Rhodes look-alike Nigel Kennedy 'You can stuff Nigel Kennedy Up your Villa' and 'What's it like to have your Gareth Barry pinched?' the fun is endless NSCers and I encourage all to get out the glue and cardboard this instant.
Agree and also can we play in a BHA 1910 retro kit as well
There were a few who mooted about a Centenary match.
Maybe we can dig up some of the old team to parade on the pitch before KO!!!!
Yes and all BHA fans must dress like 1910 street urchins.
don't the locals still look like that in Birmingham?![]()
I'm not sure that the 1910 victory was "against all the odds". In those days, the Southern League was of about equal standing with the (mainly north and midlands) Football League.
It was only when the two leagues were merged in 1920 that the rump of the Southern League became the poor cousin of its new national rival.
Incidentally ... who were the first Southern League champions after the 1920 reorganisation of football in England and Wales?
... even, though it's wrong?Without looking it up, I fear it may have been Crippled Alice.
EDIT: Just looked it up, and I'm sticking with that answer...
No no no-that's Walsall & WolverhamptonFair point!![]()
We've not scored against Aston Villa in 435 minutes of football against them.
And we beat them in the season they won the league.
