Looking forward to this already. Who do we fancy to do well?

For me, shall have small each way bets on the following:

Westy 16-1
Kouchar 50-1
Mickleson 33-1
Mahan 40-1
Snedeker 175-1
Baddeley - 175-1

Looking at, and reading reports, the rough is very long and with the current forecast, it could be a lottery. Not many below par will win it IMHO.
Need to look for very accurate tee to green players.
Westwood, Donald and Woods all fall into that group. Harrington is also getting some form.
I'll leave it till nearer when the weather update is more accurate

Bad weather will not favour most of the US players, possbily Michelson and Tiger aside. Bubbas length won't do him any favours here. Donald didn't look in good form this w/e and I've not seen Westwood play for a few weeks. Tiger really wants this one and arrived early to practise.

Too many possibly winners to predict with any accuracy, and I wouldn't bet on golf anyway.

The way things are going with this fantastic summer of sport ,Westwood will hopefully step up and join Murray, Froome and Wiggins on the Queens honors list

For all those backing Kucher, his open record is woeful. He has missed something like 7 of the last 8 cuts in this event.

I'll be looking to back proven bad weather players as it looks like it could be minging. Someone like Paul Lawrie but I will have a proper look later.

This is Westwood's big chance to break his duck. Tee to green he is the best in the world by a country mile and the greens will be more forgiving than those in the states,,,,I'm taking Westwood to win and if the weather cuts up rough again like it did last year Davis Love III and Darren Clarke again could keep you interested come Sunday afternoon as one is 200/1 and the other is 150/1....both know what it takes to get round a tough Open venue.

Ricky fowler is my fancy. The round he played last year in the gale was incredible. He has won on the PGA tour now and looks suited to links golf.

Tiger for me, would be an absolute dream to see him win another Open.

The rough is brutal so this will be won from the fairways imo. Tiger at 9/1 is good value IF he can get his stinger going like he did at Hoylake - he shown glimpses of form for 2 rounds at the US Open and I think he'll do the same here but can he do it for 4 rounds?
Others I have backed in the last few months are Dustbin Johnson 50/1, Fran Molinari 89/1, Louis Oosthuizen 66/1 (ew), Bubba Watson 80/1(ew), Jason Dufner 50/1(ew) & Andres Romero 199/1.

If I had to pick 3 they would be Dufner, Tiger & Louis.

Really looking forward to it and its the first one for 3 years I haven't been too:( Already have a hotel booked for St Andrews in 2015:thumbsup:

£5 ew (1st 5 places) Ernie Els 80/1
£5 ew (1st 6) Dustin Johnson 45/1
£3 ew (1st 5) Thomas Bjorn 100/1

Els and Bjorn were backed a couple of months ago. On the plus side,I have a bit of value. However, place terms are only 1st 5. Most firms now going 1st 6. Paddy Power are going 7(SEVEN) places now!

Best of luck to all who have a punt in this, especially if you're on any of my 3!! 

Free bet offer mate?

Yup, but only because I answered a few questions from their customer service team. If they ever call you up and ask if you want to answer a few questions, don't hesitate!
