Absolutely awesome film! Henry Fonda is just superb in it. I was gripped when i first watched it and have seen it several times now.

This is what good scriptwriting and directing are all about. The tension that is built up throughout the film is spine tingling and leaves you gasping for more.

One of my all time favourites along with Inherit the Wind.

Possibly the best camera work in a film ever. Consider this, how do you film it when all the action takes place in a single room. Brilliant use of camera angles keep the jury room action tight and absorbing. Great film.,

The Hancock version is just as brilliant in its own way. Also, isn't a younger Quincy M.E in the movie?

Yep, a young Jack Klugman is indeed in it. It's a great film but no-one's mentioned the quality of the acting - the whole cast, not just Fonda, is quite brilliant.
