£100,000 for Knight

According to Football365 the fee we are paying to Chelsea is £100k. Anyone reckon this is true? How reliable is Football365?

In the current transfer climate I dont deny that Knight is well worth the £100,000 but surely that is mere change to Abramovich, surely he can let him go on a freebie

That was the figure quoted in the Sun as well, but I doubt we have got that much money. Remember the papers saying we were tabling a £750k bid for Leon MacKenzie not so long ago?

Let's face it, the papers just pluck these figures out of the air.

Another recent example is that the morning Man Utd sign Ronaldo, the papers were saying he was being signed for £7m. When the press release comes along it is £12.25m.

Trust me, they just guess.
