If the second letter in Florin is an l and the letter fourth from the end of the sentence is an i. Just what is that letter after the apostrophe at the end of Galatasaray, and how is it pronounced?

That's a noun suffix denoting the accusative case. In Turkish, nouns change depending on their role in the sentence. This one shows us, well, shows Turkish speakers, that Galatasary is the direct object of the transitive verb 'following'. Not sure about the pronunciation but I'd guess it's like the ee in tree.

Fun fact: Istanbul got its name through a bastardisation of the Greek for 'to the city' (stin poli). When Turkish traders from Anatolia visited Constantinople and were asked by the Greeks where they were heading they often, due to the accent, replied 'stinboli' which then became Istanbul.
