from the two transfers i think he will see no more than £750K of the total. Still think that's plenty for him to build the basis of a decent squad with a few new faces tho!

I agree, need to invest in a few new faces who have played at this level or are good enough to - back to eastwood and tyson then!

None of know how much of the money is being paid up front but..

Assuming that we get at least £2Million from the sale of AV and DH (DH is under 21 int - Virgs wasn't) I'd guess we'd have between £500K and £750K to spend.

Id expect to get about 800000 - 900000 the other 1.1/1.2 mil can go on running costs ect. Means we should be able to go for 3/4 good proven players.

Centre Half.
Left Mid.
Proven striker.

Possibly another left back unless dodd is going to play out there.

Dick Knight said, "The money will enable the club to survive the coming months as we await the stadium decision continue to face the limitations of Withdean. The club's survival comes first.”

Although £1.5 million is a good price for Virgo, I think the Knight quote on the official site shows that there should not be any great expectations that a significant amount of the money will be spent on team rebuilding.
