I’ll stick with the 1st race of the day to take advantage of the Sky Bet offer..
Like the look of Sinjaari and £20 invested at a rather skinny 7/2...

Oh dear. When he pushes something they generally lose.

Nope, I don't agree with that at all. Here are his Goodwood/Galway pushes this week:

30/7
Setting Sail - placed
Zaaki - lost
Goodwood Pinatubo/Stradivaius double - won
Galway Fast Buck /Zero Ten double - won

31/7
Lil Rockerfeller - lost
Mighty Spirit - placed
Goodwood Liberty Beach/Too Darn Hot double - won
Nearooz - lost
Galway double - lost
Meglomaniac - lost
Eight and Bob - placed

If you'd done the doubles, and each way'd the rest, you'd be miles up.

Ok feel a little better now, thanks for the analysis.
I rarely bet e/w personally, so 3 winners from 11 pushes is a 27% win rate.
Maybe it’s just mine that rarely win... (or I’m just talking from my pocket)

I'm going to the Glorious Goodwood Regency Ball tonight so I'll go 1-5 on hangover and expensive taxi

I would say that your theory is reasonable. If a bookie boosts a horse and particularly when they offer money back on all losers if a certain horse wins, it means that they reckon that it will lose. They don't get them all right, but they do get enough right to make it worth their while. It is their job to make an offer look attractive whilst knowing that they are unlikely to have to pay up.

The young British Muslim girl from Brixon who ITV have been featuring this week won the amateur race, which is marvellous. She initially failed her trial to ride in the race, but worked hard, was eventually cleared and ended up winning. Great stuff.

She was an absolute joy, before and after. Brilliant to see her hard work and enthusiasm rewarded and the positive PR for racing is fantastic too.

Agree, absolutely fantastic, infectious stuff.

So much more enjoyable than the arrogant, only ride big money race mentality of some with a less than perfect past.

I think it’s rubbish because she can wear a Hijab but the others are banned from doing so. If it was the other way round there would be uproar.

Did anyone check to see if it was Frankie Dettorie under there having a laugh? [emoji3]
