Yes if we all did what they did society would collapse, but they claim £190 a week which in comparison is a drop in the ocean on the billions lost in tax evasion

The part below of a very good post on this thread is a very good point.
There are many people out there who work very hard but don't have a trade like me and you, they are on low wages but pay out on high rents because they can't afford a mortgage and are way, way down the list for a council house ( because they work )

Thought I'd get the queen back into the discussion with a question.
How much does she receive a week? What's her job? How many hours a week does she put in? How many spare empty bedrooms are there at her gaff? How much does her metal hat cost? How much tax has she paid?

I once lived near a family that home schooled their children. Now I'm sure some home schooled children are great, but these were a NIGHTMARE, in part caused by their lack of socialising with other children and their rarely coming across adults who expected them to follow any kind of rules or norms of society. For example they'd literally break into our garden over the fence or gate just to hang out in our space every few days and be surprised it annoyed us, while the parents just saw it as kids being kids. When one of the children was being a physical danger to herself on our property and could have set herself on fire we ended up growing bamboo and bushes along all our fences and the gate to stop them climbing. I don't often dislike people but I really disliked them.

My mate had similar with their neighbours. 3kids constantly climbing up a tree and jumping over his garden wall. My mate started giving them Orange juice and the odd biscuit whenever they were playing in his garden. The kids were wild but there was no bad intention from them. I guess he got lucky with his garden intruders. Sorry to hear about your current ordeal with playful kids wanting to use your garden. #Getthemout!

So she puts loads into tax. Fair play to her. Where did she earn the money to pay that in tax and how many hours is she putting on a week to earn the money she does? also, why do people use the royals as examples of benefit scroungers? Sounds like the Royals are non stop work horses if they can pay that in tax.

Silly move there. Had she thought a bit further than the week ahead, she could've retired decades ago spending her retirement being carried around on carthorses, waving at pigeons, giving out meaningless speeches and making sure andrew behaves himself.

Hmmm...in my mind playful kids don't ignore you and stick their hair in the flames from your bbq just to smell the burning, smash a fence, take things out of your shed at will and leave them lying around your garden (while others disappear completely), help themselves to whatever they want from your kitchen (without you even realising they are in your house), pull up your entire veg patch to see if the carrots are ready and make your own children scared to go in their own garden. Each to their own though.
