Anyone else think of this competition is now akin to the Sherpa Van Trophy or the Simod Cup?

Very little interest in it, maybe that's because we tend to be a bit rubbish in these small cup competitions and seldom get far

It would be awesome to win it, though.

It would have been awesome to win the Simod or the Sherpa Van too :lolol:

Weren't we going quite well in one of them until Ian Wright rocked up with Palace and tore us a new one. he bloody loved it to I seem to remember

We were one game away from the final in the paint pot trophy. We lost on pens. I was there at Luton

90-91 Zenith Data Systems Cup (Full Members Cup), lost 2-0 aet to Palace at the Goldstone. Although we were only in the third round there would have still been area semi finals and final to play before making the Wembley final against the Northern Section winners.

Also think we made the area final for the lower league thingy cup in 1987, then got thumped 5-1 at home by Notts County.

Area semi final of the Associate Members' Cup (now the Football League Trophy) 1987-88 season. Notts County lost to Wolves in the area final.

Our Tie that week would have to be on the Wednesday wouldn't it? As we play on the Sunday before and the Saturday after. Surely no other night is possible.
