[Albion] Tammy Abraham could he be the answer?

Left out by Tuchel in the squad for the FA Cup leaving a huge question mark over his Chelsea future.

So,

Would you want him at the Amex? (Really a no brainer)

How much would we have to pay for him? (Or would Chelsea swap him for Biss?)

Dunk almost certainly has the ‘Paul Ince clause’ in his contract, so could the Albion potentially be looking at two players having a six figure weekly salary?

Probably to much competition for us to want to get involved and likely wants paying more than the PL average which means we are OUT.

Would be a serious sign of intent though

But does there come a point where we have to be IN wages wise, otherwise it won’t be long before we are OUT of the EPL?

The same Tammy Abraham who's Chelsea's top scorer this season? Maybe if they throw in Mason Mount too. If not we should try to get Salah or that Haaland lad at Dortmund looks promising.

That's a bit harsh. Whilst he probably won't end up here, he is clearly out of favour with the new boss.

We will be interested in TA. Chelsea will be interested in our assets, especially Ben White. Have always thought that if Biss or White were to leave then the idea of player exchange to realise required value would come into play in these CV19 times.

If Chelsea didn't want Bissouma I would spend the money we get for him on Abraham. Wages wise it would be another level but maybe that is our next step if we want to become a top 10 team,

Agreed. Given how much we’ve wasted on flops, would make sense to go for a right, proven player to help convert some of xG’s

He may well be moved on to raise funds for the rest of the world Chelsea are currently being linked with.

It will most likely depend what he really wants. He could be a bit part player for most of the top 8 although would most likely start for West Ham most weeks. Every other club from there down he would most likely start every week. Wages would then be the difference.
Personally most likely a swap for rice at West Ham

The right answer on only the second post!

I suspect he is already on more than our highest earner. We’ll not be breaking our salary structure for this lad, especially after the rumoured required £1m sweetener to a family member when we tried to get him on loan.

Whilst Chelsea have a history of letting top world class talent saunter out the club in the cheap, the recruitment will be after someone of equal quality but for half the salary and transfer fee.

It's obvious that given the chance the club would love to sign a player of his quality.

But it's moot as he wouldn't want to join a club in a perennial relegation scrap.

Even once we achieve our ambition of establishing ourselves as a regular top 10 Premier League club, we would still struggle to sign players like him who consider themselves Champions League quality.

Fortunately there are equally talented but raw players out there who we can develop into the next Tammy Abraham, much like we've developed the next Yves Bissouma.

As far as I’m aware the two players we have signed that have had previous PL experience have been head and shoulders in quality above the Dutch and other foreign league punts we have tried. Even the Championship lads haven’t been to bad. For once we should put the eggs all in one basket and make a decent signing like Abraham. As far as wage disputes go as the boss I would remind our strikers it could be them with the new deals if they hit a barn door.

Signalling our intent by agreeing to massive wages could be the yellow brick road to ruin. Every new signing would want more.Wages in football are not elastic downwards. (Unless fire and rehire applies to the EPL?).
