It's not a movie but the scariest thing I have ever seen was ghost watch on the BBC many years ago
Easily the scariest thing I have ever seen.
Michael aspel was in a studio with a live audience investigating ghosts with experts on the panel Sarah Greene was sent to a reportedly haunted house to broadcast live.it was all acted but way to realistic it scares me to this day thinking about it .

Movies don't scare me because they are just movies

However, recently I've been watching a lot of murder documentaries on YouTube

Now that is scary, what one human being can do to another

As an 18 year old I found Roman Polanski's "Repulsion" quite tricky!

Midsommar and Get Out both very good recent additions, although i imagine some may not describe them as horror films.

Watched Midsommar last night, one of the most psychological movies I've experienced and there's so many hidden details. Ari Aster is quickly becoming one of my favourite film makers.
