Maybe MacAllister or Lallana playing a bit deeper or maybe Propper for Propper, Stephens also played against Pompey though so unless the deal is already completed could definitely play.

Pretty similar to the team that played Pompey for me. Hopefully put Veltman at RB and let Molumby play in the middle. Perhaps a slightly more experienced bench just in case Preston are giving us a few problems - since Bissouma's red card this game has become significantly more important, even for those who don't give a toss about progressing in the EFL cup.

Would be a good move for all parties, a step up from last year for him.
But we really would need at least one more striker in. Has anyone mentioned that yet?!

All depends on who is replacing Biss v Man Utd. Assuming full fitness my guess would be Propper, although he could put Lallana in for him. Delicat balance between wanting to put out a strong team for cup but protecting first 11. Also complicated by rumours of Stephens and Molumby leaving. Hard to see how we could lose both of those.
