This is a home for posting local games that may be of interest to the Albion faithful.

First up:

BIG local derby tomorrow night (Tuesday 25th) - Steyning Town v Upper Beeding. Annual pre-season friendly for the John Brown Trophy - a club stalwart who looks after the ground and so much more. KO 7:45pm. Bar is open - as is the kitchen with the best burgers you will get at a Sussex ground. Steyning will be playing in the SCFL Premier Division again this season. An early chance to familiarise themselves with the surroundings as Upper Beeding will be playing their home games at The Shooting Field this season.

You can register in advance here. Great facilities at a well-run local club - including new floodlights arriving in September. Definitely worth a visit (BN44 3RQ). No entrance fee for this friendly. Come along and support local football.

This should of interest to the entire board. Our Nashville Fall Sunday League starts this week, folks better watch out for the wrath of Music City Gull if they know what’s good for them after a full Saturday of drinking Mango seltzer’s....

Home ties for AFC Uckfield, Alfold Town, Mile Oak, Pagham, Broadbridge Heath, Billingshurst, Saltdean, Newhaven, Redhill, Lancing, Eastbourne United, Crowborough. I'll be at Lancing tomorrow watching the Rebels.
Be interesting to see if Roco Rees will be in goal for Worthing as he played Saturday in the behind closed doors game v Haywards Heath.

what's the situation with Dean Hammond at Worthing? He signed towards the end of last season but the season was cancelled before he had a chance to play. Is he signed on for this season?

Sussex, by the sea
I used to go to Steyning a lot . . ( not just to school!) . . . I had an autograph book full circa 1981 when BHA played there for a pre season friendly.
