You hardness needs to be checked as you are so very wrong. The law allows a licensee to stop anyone from entering his premises just like you can your house. The law was broken by the thug

You need to check the earlier link which clearly shows that you cannot bar people on certain grounds like race etc...laws of the land which supersede licensing laws. Whilst I appreciate he might be allowed to ask Starmer to leave you cannot bar literally anyone as you state.

If I have misunderstood that link please explain why as otherwise it makes no sense to me.

Whilst on the subject of law I remember you stated numerous times that beers at 0.5% ABV were to be outlawed as AF in the UK...what’s the latest on this as I still haven’t seen or heard anything about this.

No sorry i didnt know that was common knowledge but thought it could well be the case. Was the landlord lawful to stop Starmer if he had been invited by the co owner? Seems a bit weird to me.

Over to PILTDOWN MAN - can a licensee or co-licensee compel a visitor to leave, if beforehand his business partner had invited him?

Unusual circumstances of course.

You're wrong chap, it's my business to know. Your not allowed to discriminate but also you do not need to have a reason. Call it a quirk of the law. However the licensing laws are extremely strict on all counts.

Technically anyone working in a pub can eject a customer if they have been given the authority to do so. Doesn't have to be the license owner.

Your not allowed to discriminate but also you do not need to have a reason.

I think it's better explained by - you do not have the right to enter a pub unless the licence holder agrees. However if the licence holder is proved to have have stopped you entering on the basis of race, disability etc.. they would be breaking the law. You don't have to give the reason to a customer, but you might be forced to give it to a court.

Google shows quite a number of landlords who’ve lost court cases for unlawfully banning customers....pleasing to see Whetherspoons on this list.

You can't discriminate but you can refuse and give no reason however if challenged to why and the landlord states something that discriminates then he is wrong.

I have refused many people when asked why I stated I didn't have to invite anyone into my house, plain and simple.

People think Public House means it's for the public it's not it's still a private premises.

Not sure if Johnson was always alone, I think quite often the trips on the bike were a bit staged. Sadiq Khan has to have armed security now when he goes about London as Mayor, mostly because of the right wing nutters who hate him for being from Pakistani origins and those at the other end of the spectrum, who think he has " sold out " for integrating too well by becoming part of the establishment. Sad world.

Are there many right wing 'nutters'? From my observations 'nutters' seem to be exclusively left wing.

They come in all colours, shapes and sizes, and political directions. To believe that all nutters are from the left and that there is no nutters on the right is nuts, making yourself a nutter.

Exactly this, hence the phrases and terms
Hard Left , Hard Right, Radical Left, Radical Right, Extreme Left, Extreme Right.

National Socialism is the ultimate extreme of both left and right, come full circle and I think I am right in thinking there were one or two nutters within that particular party.

Swansman and you have nailed this.

Facism and non-democratic Marxist regimes are evil, thugs from the Hard Left and Far Right (people who want to physically hurt others) are scum.
