Root keeps himself in the attack, whilst withdrawing Bess for Wood. Ouch, right call though Bess is not looking threatening. I feel like Bess is just bowling too fast

FOUR wickets for the skipper :clap2:

He really is leading his young side from the front :clap2:

SA 83-6

51.4 Root to du Plessis, OUT, flicks the bat, off the knee-roll, into Pope's hands once more! England are convinced, so is the umpire, but Faf reviews, as well he might! But there's a huge inside-edge! Was he gambling on an uncalled no-ball? There's nothing else that was saving him!

F du Plessis c Pope b Root 36 (123b 6x4 1x6) SR: 29.26

That would have been some catch if Sibley had held that

Root really bowling superb. You have to say the South Africans have batted absolutely abysmally today.

Root has always been a half decent bowler. Almost like the captain doesn't trust him enough to bowl more. Oh...........

If you have hit it you known, where is the calculated risk. Ridicules review and totally selfish in my book.

If you have played the game then you know that an inside edge like that is really obvious (I believe BG has stated he has never played). It was a completely brainless decision, very South African!

Never at any decent level.

I got mixed up with Football as they have had to bring out VAR to combat the cheating and assumed the same with cricket.
