We start Day 4 can we restrict their scoring to stop them from declaring early thus giving us only 4 or 5 sessions left to bat out the draw.

That was a shocking last half hour by England to lose 3 wickets.
Rory Burns should hold his head in shame. Lots of unhappy and bewildered England fans at the close of play.
But at least the sun is shining.
We just need to bat all day tomorrow now. At least there are no world championship points up for grabs.

Australia and New Zealand at home seem so comfortable batting on home/flat surfaces which obviously makes sense but at the same time when we are at home we can’t bat long here either, is it the Kookaburra ball? England seem to really struggle on pitches that seem to be a batting paradise, England toiled away for 200 overs then Santner comes on and he looks like Warne ripping it, how?

.We need at least one very long partnership but more likely about 3 or 4 to survive the day and get a draw which is quite possible, however unlikely.

This game is of a different eraBoycott and Tavare would be enjoying this.
We are batting to survive so hardly surprising. If we can’t bat a day in these conditions with 7 wickets remaining then we have problems, it’s an absolute batting paradise.
