Bloody hell, that’s amazing. All the rain we had in May and now the heat/sun, this is paradise for plants.

It’s hard to see due to the photos definition ... the tall purple plants, some kind of Flag Irises?

A lot of hard work has gone into this plot, now being repaid to us as a stress relief and quiet zone.
Not sure on type of Iris, as given to my wife a while back.

Bloody marvellous Amex. Bravo mate. I'm waiting for my Dad's broad beans. Love them.

Good shots AmexRuislip can’t beat the allotment in early summer. She had a plant sale for the Refugee Kitchen in Calais at Weald Allotment Hove last Sunday. Raised £300 in an hour and a half. The geums sold out in 5 minutes. Good propagating there. I was the supply runner.

For the veg Here’s my about to flower Charlottes and Marfona (thanks vegster for Lancing shop tip).

I’m having to weed more than ever ... the price of this rain and heat.

Grass has really bolted these last few weeks...i had a job yesterday where its a three weekly cut on a block of flats...had a powerful mower on highest cutting position possible and yet still needed to angle the front up quite a bit to get through it ..some of it is on a slope as well ..pain in bottom ...quite a difference to the last few years

Wow, your plot looks fab.
I like the raised beds, are they easy to use.
I wish our site had the gumption to do more for plant sales etc....
We have a few me me types that do not give much away, for the rest of us, its more like Swap Shop :)

I hardly mowed at all during the cold, drought-like April. But the same as you, now having to mow a couple of times a week.

Good work Amex. Had bad blight 3 weeks ago over whole site. Greenhouse tomatoes survived but not outside ones. Spuds cut back and tubers were ok.

Cheers
Haven't picked our Borlotti beans yet, yrs look good.
When our pots greenery start to die back , we cut it back to 6 inches, so as we know where they are.
If the tom's show any sign of blight, we pick them and store them in polytunnel.
Everything is culminating at once, due to the decent weather we had recently, cannot keep up..

We're off in the camper for 6-8 weeks in 10 days time, so have been gradually closing up shop. Greenhouse tomato plants will be burnt to avoid blight whilst away. We're already on autumnal work.

Did any of you guys work on your allotment's today?

My perfect weather today - low 70F's and mainly sunny, really nice in the garden.

Too hot for me along at the Weald Site off Old Shoreham Road/Nevil Avenue. Luckily we're off to Ireland for our hols. :lolol:
