Surely it would be common sense and easily resolved if they just don't play during the day and make all games late at night through to early morning?

FIFA/Blatter have stated that the issue is not the players,ALL stadia will have closed roofs and Air Con.They/he are doing us fans a favour their only concern is it will be too hot for us fans travelling to and hanging round outside the grounds.
How does a late night/early morning K/O fit in with T.V. schedules and Advertising revenues/Sponsor promoting?.No,he/they will be doing the WHOLE WORLD a favour by tearing up nearly a century of tradition and shifting the competition to the European Winter.

It will happen like it or not.money talks/FIFA-Blatters listens and the old football world are irrelevant to the new world revenue streams.

Fair point.

And totally wrong, besides, population growth is wholly Southern Hemisphere, and Asia Northern Hemisphere population is falling, world population will double by the time of this world cup and most of that growth will be in non traditional footballing nations. The Southern/ Asia/China/India South American developing economies.

Sepp Blatter's statement totally contradicts your interpretation? After the release of fresh medical information about the effects of heat on players he said
"We have to take into account the health, not of the spectators, but of the players," he told Sky Germany.
