I dont disagree, and they both add quality to the team.
Lamptey and Bissouma may cancel out a sizeable chunk of the other dross and their 5 year deals from a financial perspective but those other players are not good enough at this level and no doubt the chunk they take from the budget stops us...
Ashworth got Lamptey and Lallana, and the Lamptey deal alone will be massively financially beneficial after we get relegated this season!
But whilst none of us know the ins and outs of recruitment team, then end results have generally been piss poor for seasons, a lot of expensive dross...
Not sure how you put Mark Hughes in a category with Eddie Howe as if trying to prove something....there's clearly no link with a brilliant young manager who took a league 2 club to the top table and kept them there for years with innovative methods and good recruitment versus the managerial...
Totally agree, EH has a much better eye for young British talent than even Ashworth has showed thus far, he had horrific injuries last season that left them cut adrift, but even in going down, they mounted a pretty good last stand and were brilliant away at Everton, losing out by a hairs...
Tossard, hes pony now.
total liability taking chances near our box with oppo players around him, offers nothing going forward at the moment. Both he and Maupay are shot and a waste of space
It was the same under Poyet, always trying to do too much in front of goal and pass it in and failing most of the time. Trying to score the perfect goal and getting nothing
Agree, he's too loyal for his own good. But the time has come imho. Potter is a good man, he knows how to play possession football, I really dont see any plan at all without the ball, we're just too easy to play against, not much defensive organisation, clueless on set pieces at both ends. This...
When you look at how well drilled Burnley, Newcastle and even Palace are at set pieces, It makes you wonder what the hell they do in training. Its ust the same shit over and over again and the same nothing result.
