It turned out to have been the correct tactic for the conditions and had worked for most of the game. Credit to England that they executed it really well with good chasing and making hits that forced turnovers. At no point did SA look like they were going to run through us, so kicking it deep...

But SA aren’t light years ahead of us, as the closeness of tonight’s game shows.

They really aren’t. Rugby is cyclical, like any sport. This certainly isn’t a vintage group of England players, but they’ve still pushed SA to the limit and lost due to a very dubious last penalty.

You seen some of the reds dished out to England players over the last couple of years. The new laws are rediculous.

If parents are worried then they shouldn’t bring their kids along to play a contact sport. Ridiculous laws that make accidental head impacts a red card offence won’t change the number of head impacts; they’ll just result in lots of red cards. They are only being implemented because World Rugby...

Rugby laws are bullshit these days. It’s killing the game for the paying public and really putting me off watching elite-level games. And that’s from someone that played the game for 30+ years. The England res wouldn’t have even been a pen a few years ago and the Argie late tackle just a pen.
