Soooooo many highlights. Kenny’s Keirin did it for me today though….or possibly Laura Muir. Or maybe the women’s Madison…….or the mixed triathlon………or……….
Really, really going to miss this in the mornings……..been fantastic to get up early and watch over a coffee (and then realise I’ve been watching for about 5 hours and it’s nearly lunchtime…..‘I’ll just watch this taekwondo bout and a bit of skateboarding, and then some climbing and then I’ll get...
Absolutely remarkable. 2012 medal total matched…and spread across 25 sports. More than any other country.

I had some sympathy for the German rider……..that was misplaced. Glad she failed.
Madison madness is fascinating……was reading about the women’s race earlier - GB planning/marginal gains at work again - first team to use hi viz helmets to aid identification in the carnage. Simple but effective :)
All very well saying that until you look at the times………..way faster than the very vast majority of people (INCLUDING most club runners) could run the same distance. 1.21 for the 20k and 3.50 for the 50k :eek:
Keirin about to start……..mental event. They’ve replaced the old scooter with an e-bike, ridden by a bloke with a rucksack. It looks like a group of angry weekend warriors chasing a commuter :lolol::lolol::lolol:
Good point…I spent a lot of time in Singapore and HK in summertime, it’s horrific. A 20 minute stroll to the office would leave me absolutely dripping with sweat. It’s incredible what they are doing.
I see the attention-seeking tosspot is at it again, this time belittling Keely H after her silver in the 800m. Beautifully, and with complete class, she’s replied pointing out he got her name wrong.
