No harm in perspective SB!
As it happens, nobody was on here afaik on the threads i read, even in the more bitter last few months of the season, was sharing such ad hominem insults about CH.
But things have ramped up a bit since his sacking and as for that specific quote - its earlier in this...
Yes. I know Stephens and Propper played more and we can debate the reasons about whether they should have done . But the OP's point was that we "hardly saw" anything of Bissouma because Hughton "didn't trust him". We saw plenty of him.
Bissouma made 28 appearances last season. Hughton didn't do a very good job of keeping him from us.
As for whether Potter or anyone could turn Stephens and Propper into prolific goalscorers in the Premier League purely by a change of tactics - well we'll see.
He's played as a CM or a DM all his career. This hasn't changed at Brighton.
Like Propper, the reason for him not scoring goals are numerous, its the Premier League, the quality of the opposition, his form, the players getting forward ahead of him, chances created and so on. Are are you saying...
He scored 21 goals for Oldham and Charlton in L1 in 160 games or so
And he’s scored 14 goals in 180 games for us in the Champ and Prem.
So largely the same .
He played as an attacking midfielder a few times early on in his career on the Erodivisie but according to this he was a CM the vast majority of times and DM a few times
Really don’t understand why this idea that Hughton played him out of position has come from. (Debate away how the team...
Agreed , criticise his coaching, tactics or his (lack of ) Plan B. All valid. Argue that it was investment, signings , out of form players. Plenty of stuff for NSC to argue about (and it has for months now)
But saying they are "not trying" or "taking the piss" is lazy ad hominem stuff. And...
Shame that its come to this. The tactics might be wrong, the manager clearly struggled to make a change, up against better opposition, obviously a bunch of poor results. All valid reasons not to show - but accusing the squad and the manager of taking the piss every week and not trying . All...
Look em up SB. No denying that a core of our team last season was from the Champ - Dunk, Duffy, March, Stephens and Murray being the spine - they're all good players - and towards the end we leant on Knockaert and Bruno That said of last years signings Ali J, Bernardo, Bissouma,( Locadia when...
Bloom made the decision of course but I’d be surprised if he didn’t acknowledge privately that he thought long and hard about making the change and that there was a strong case to make for keeping Hughton. Dismissing those out of hand that make that case is unfair on them as fans even if...
