Who knows but thats nothing to do with your post which is you're upset with the club because it "constantly [says] they're going to spend money and never do".
Except they don't constantly say they're going to spend money. In fact they never do.
And they do spend a lot of money on players...
I'll have a go. Duffy is replacing Gordon Greer in the squad. He's 24, has played 100 games in the Championship, is an international and just had a decent Euros. Thats why we bought him and thats why he cost a reported £4m.
What do you think is the answer and why we'll never know it ?
A few posts back you said it was disingenuous to say that, and the club in citing the state of the transfer market were treating us all like morons, and that it makes the club look like "hicks down from the mountain".
Now its "fine". and you acknowledge that it is indeed " ridiculous sums of...
??? Bloom has just turned down £20m+ worth of offers for players - one of whom is in the last year of his contract.
Has spent a fortune on a new Lewis Dunk contract, is close to spending a fortune on new Kayal/March contracts and wants to give Stephens likewise.
He also spent millions on...
its your rhetoric thats over heated i'm afraid SB. ...
- arguing in several posts, without any evidence, that we didn't buy a striker because we didn't sell Stephens - nope
- the club aren't treating us "like morons" - they've explained it. and you disagree. Nobody is calling you a moron.
-...
- The striker market *is* over heated. Feel free if you want to argue otherwise.
- The club were prepared to spend - £5m or £7m etc for Pritchard - had agreed a fee with Spurs. So its disengenuous to keep denying they won't.
- Or "generate that money" - i suggest you collar Tony Bloom next...
Did we *not* buy a striker because Bloom didn't have enough money because he hadn't sold Stephens or not ? (regardless of when in the window this thing that the club didn't want to happen , happened)
- They *needed* to replace Greer, [JFC, Ince, Holla], Zamora, and Rosenior (Injured). Needed. Arguably reason we didn't get promoted last season was the depth of the squad in all areas.
- The money isn't mythical - is it ? Bloom seems to be spending an awful lot of this mythical money. Turning...
We didn't need to do just "minimal business" - we've signed 5 ex prem and/or international players (as well as strengthen the u23 squad)
but yes, as you say, the "emphasis" in the window was signing "one of the strikers earmarked in the last 12 months", Pritchard, who wasn't being shopped for...
yep. details in Mar 2015 just say he joined the recruitment team headed up by Paul Winstanley.

Well this OP is implying and you're agreeing is
- the clubs failure to deliver a striker
- and the supposed failings of Norwood, Duffy based on a couple of poor performances with 40 games to go
are all because a key scout left to join Birmingham in June, despite the fact that its...
Paul Winstanley joined the club in 2014 and has been head of recruitment since March 2015. Bizarrely the thrust of this thread is that he had nothing to do with any of our signings since then (its his chief scout who left for personal reasons), or that we can judge all the signings made this...
We think Alex Pritchard is worth a punt. Bloom: Ok. Here's £7m quid. Fee agreed with Spurs and Pritchard. (and then Norwich stepped in).
Recruiters had nothing to do with the deal not being done. And they clearly had enough money to get him.
