Well, possibly 4-0, let's not get ahead of ourselves :)
Yes, but Australia got lucky when England's best bowler missed Trent Bridge - how did that work out? Harris could have made a difference, but missing one player isn't a great excuse.
He's definitely good enough, but team spirit is important and he didn't help. It's not like Cantona wasn't good enough for the French side in 98, but they went and won the WC without him.
We invented everything.
Luck can play a part, but I don't think it has. We've had no more than the Aussies...
Jesus Pres, are you alright?
Interesting points that you raised/cut and pasted. I don't see how that can be linked to the Albion though. I don't feel that it's someone else's play thing, and that we're not relevant.
That's one viewpoint. Watching one side outplay the other for 5 days, and end up with a draw because the wicket's a bit flat and the weather knocks off a bit of time short-changes the fans for me. And to be honest, you don't even agree with yourself. You've loved the other games in this series.
Just watch the first two days again, plenty of entertainment. In fact ignore that, the footy season starts tonight, and there'll be some support games tomorrow to watch.
Like you, I would rather it be one sided when we're winning, I don't take the enjoyment in the contest that Titanic does. But even if his is a losing mentality, it doesn't matter, he's just a supporter. Obviously you wouldn't want that mentality anywhere near the team.
I think this is England, and we could easily lose a whole day to rain for no good reason (ie, not forecast). Imagine if we lost a day to rain and they then just had to survive 4 sessions to save the ashes. Of course it's unlikely England will even have a decision to make, but if we did bat for...
A Sky news crew went to the Walkabout pub in London where the cricket was being shown, to gauge the reaction of the Aussie fans. There were about 2 fans left in the pub, with the cricket still on in the background. Sore losers.
Fair enough. I didn't know you were doing comedy, I thought you were only going for a professional and unbiased assessment of the game.
So both batsman in, have got more runs that the total of the opposition. When did we last do that?
