Duke of Edinburgh's Award scheme which is great for youngsters from all sorts of backgrounds. Edward obviously has other charities and duties besides but do have a look at the award scheme and what it does.

He modernised the Royal family. It was his suggestion to allow television for the coronation, and to do walkabouts meeting the crowds. The Queen even toned down her plummy accent under his guidance.
To those who don't like the royal family, remember Prince Philip served throughout WW2. being mentioned in dispatches at the Battale of Matapan, so please just respect a veteran, if nothing else.
A lifetime of service in the Royal Navy and to the Queen. Many didn't understand him but he was always true to himself.
My Dad served with him in the Med in the early 50s and always spoke well of him.
