I love a good Karma Facebook post. This one popped up on one of my twat friends pages the other day .

People use it in the exact opposite sense. It means it is apparent. It’s there for all to see. It’s obvious. But in practice what most people mean when they say it these days is
“I read in the Daily Mail”
Or
“My mate Bob said..”
Terrible.
The major flaw with using jargon is that unless everybody understands and is very familiar with it, it causes confusion. The exact opposite of the objective.

I agree with the meaning of the phrase I just simply loathe the words themselves, "catchy". Ugh. It all seems so breathey and a bit noncey.
I get a similar nauseated feeling when someone shortens Spaghetti Bolognese to spag-bol. Come on, we can do better than this...
