I don't think we currently have the midfielders to play a central 3. If we had a central attacking midfielder like Tex then we may well see a change in formation and drop to 1 striker but not at home against QPR or Cardiff
A few quick searches on google and last three season the champions have had a strike force scoring 41, 49 & 43. So 50 from our front 4 seems an unfair expectation. However each season only 1 player scored more than 20 goals but all 3 teams played a 4-4-2 and had a 2nd striker who scored 15 or so...
I've always believed that a set of strikers will need to bag somewhere around 50 goals for a team hoping to win the title. I'd be interested to see any statistics with previous championship winning sides and there 4 or 5 strikers
Sam Baldock does bring a lot to the team but so would any other hardworking striker who has some pace. Because he doesn't score many goals he isn't undropable, therefore a change in personel with another pacey player (March or Knockaert) would probably end in the same outcome only with the...
