Agree. Big pre-season for him though, as although I take your point in terms of being fully back to where he was, everyone else has gone up a notch, so there is some significant catching up.
Hoping he’ll get some opportunities if we do start look more like a mid-table finish.

However, not sure he’d ever be a first choice from there, but a useful squad player, and I’m sure would not let anyone down.
Physically he’d add something as well in terms of height.
This is the most accurate assessment IMO, he was terrible in front of goal. He may well get more chances, he’ll still need to finish them.
Just great to have another body.

I realise players always become more valued when they aren’t playing, and judging by the comments on here this is another example.
I really want him fit and challenging for a place, but I’m afraid I thought he was just okay, nothing more. For me, not as good as any of his midfield competitors...
